A DAY OF REST
Papaw has been loafing today, he thinks that is what you do with A DAY OF REST. We went to church and had lunch with the Staker family and that's about it. They have some chicks and a baby turkey in their laundry room (have to keep them there so as to be away from the dogs until they get too large to escape the fenced enclosure). Mike says his sprinkler system keeps tripping the reset button and we disconnected the last four stations to see which solenoid is causing the problem. The Stakers were speakers for their sacrament program and some of the parents in the congregation lost their buttons (ie. POPPED THEIR BUTTONS). Mikey was ordained a Teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood after the block of meetings, we expect he will grow about two foot in the next couple of years.
Here is what happened with Mamaw today: I got up early, got ready for church, went to Donna's (took bagles and cream cheese for their breakfast), went to church with them (Brother Pitchford said he would teach the Sunday School class for me), Mike, Donna, Ashley, Rachel & Mikey talked in sacrament meeting and the whole family did a musical number. They did a great job on all counts! We were really proud of all of them. After church we went back to their house and had pizza and salads. Colleen, Steve, Avalenia, Sam and two of Joe's kids were there too. We came home and took a long nap. That is about it for me today. We love all of you!
Love,
Mamaw & Papaw
