GREEN GRASS GROWS ALL AROUND
Papaw thought this would be a nice day to start his weekly mowing. He pulled a lot of weeds out of the front lawn before cutting the grass and turned on the sprinklers afterwards (rains out here in the desert are not trustworthy). The grass seeds are sprouting and it looks like it will mostly be green in a couple of weeks.
Mamaw's day: The neighbor's dog woke me up at 3:00 AM and I couldn't go back to sleep. I tried for a while, but finally gave up and began the routine... got up and studied, read, washed some grapes & pulled them from the cluster, went outside and pulled weeds in the front yard, cooked breakfast, washed dishes, made my bed, went to the garden and did some weeding there, picked vegetables and put some tomatoes, and zucchini in the freezer. Claudia came over to get Papaw to open her gas can, he refilled it from one of the large containers he has in the barn. I sent my fellow out for our supper... he got KFC pot pie and a chocolate shake for me (I'm beginning to think those fast food dinners are not as good as homemade stuff). A little TV and then I'm off to bed, we will be up early for the 6:00 AM session at the Jordan River Temple and I need my beauty rest. We love all of you!
Love,
Mamaw & Papaw
