HARVEST TIME

Papaw painted the gas meter and pipes as well as some other items in the front to brighten them up a bit and then went out back to finish mowing the field.  He discovered some strange fruit on a branch that had to be trimmed out of his way when using the riding lawn... on what he thought was a pear tree.  On his way back to the house he spotted something on one of the apple trees.

Mamaw woke up with a thump early this morning, she thought Papaw had fallen out of bed, but the hadn't.  She says, I don't know what I heard... maybe it was a dream.  I read, studied, looked at the blog, cooked breakfast, washed dishes and spent the rest of the morning cleaning the grill so we could put it away for the winter.  Buddy, we put it on your side of the barn... I hope that is OK with you (that makes it so that it is not in the way of Papaw's moving the lawn mower in and out of the barn).  I made lunch, put a roast in the crock pot, took a nap and then added some carrots and potatoes to the roast.  The roast didn't get done in time for supper so we had pizza.  I am watching TV,  have my letter written and it will  soon be bed time.  We love all of you.
