ALC REMEMBERED
Your Papaw and I took time to remember Alice Lloyd College today. A long time ago when we were teenagers we had the opportunity to attend school there and that is where we met. I just happened to be showing off my high school ring and it caught a young college freshman's attention (he might not admit it but it wasn't the ring... it was the cutest blond he had ever seen and she had a personality that radiated all the way to his heart - I was just using my ring to mesmerize him).
Most of the other things we did today were the usual for a Friday: I got up early, studied, made french toast for breakfast, went outside and pulled some irises that were taking over the area. Danni and the kids got up and we made breakfast for them, the kids went out to catch bugs for a little while before leaving for Seven Peaks. Papaw and I went to Walmart for some flowers and a rose bush to plant at the corner of the house. We came home, had lunch and took a nap. When we woke up we put a border by the back sidewalk, I planted my rose, put some flowers in a pot at the front porch, transplanted some plants, watered the flowers, had dinner and now I am watching TV. I hope Danni gets home soon.
Papaw did some mowing to avoid doing my work with strict supervision. I think he likes a free lance life style but I sure would like to put that little piece of energy into a harness.
