COAXIAL CABLE PROBLEM
Papaw moved his modem and router again today. All went well for about an hour and then the lights went off on the modem and the phone had no dial tone. The help desk had mentioned pressing the reset button for at least 5 seconds to make it restart last Monday. Papaw pressed the reset button for 10 seconds and got the thing going again for about 30 minutes and then it died again. Papaw knew the equipment worked well in the garage from Monday until today and had been working for the past year without problems... there must be some problem with his coax running into the bedroom. This called for a trip to the attic to see how the cable is split off from the garage, it was confusing at first but he got the picture. A trip to Home Depot for a three way splitter and a 3 foot length of coax helped make the necessary change for a good signal to his modem. Prayers and some electrical / coax / telephone experience worked the needed miracle.
Mamaw says: I got up early, studied, read, made beds and breakfast, washed dishes, went on neighborhood watch, picked up my new glasses at the eye doctor's office (I can see great with them), washed baseboards and cabinet fronts in the kitchen, had lunch, took a nap, made some phone calls, fixed dinner, did the dishes again, talked to Danni, Donna and Kristine, read some of my new book and now I am watching TV (while talking to Jean). It will be bedtime soon. We love all of you!!!
