ACTING BUSY
Papaw and Mamaw are acting busy as they are preparing for Estes and Jewel this Sunday when they come into town to visit for a week.
Papaw irrigated on Monday from 6:00 - 9:00 AM and then mowed the lawn from about noon until 7:00 PM. He was able to put his leaf bagger on the riding lawnmower last Saturday and did a little mowing before Sister Kingery started irrigating and the overflow flooded the field. The lawn was still wet and the grass kept clogging in the chute. AH, SHOOT!
This morning he visited with the Stakers and watched the farrier trim the brown horse's hooves, form the horseshoes to fit and nail each in place. He was able to rake some of the grass, visit Cal Ranch and Home Depot while it sprinkled or rained. Maybe he can cover the chickens' run with coop wire on Thursday so that Sara's brood will be save... she lost another one this week. Don't worry, Donna bought 20 new chicks at the farm supply store (they were having a $0.99 each sale today to close out their inventory).

Mamaw spent her day cleaning the house...I think she is asleep at the moment. She told me all the things she had done and most of it was inside because of the rain that came and went all day long.
We love all of you!!!
Love,
Mamaw & Papaw
