NEVER ENDING STORY
Papaw has what he wishes would be a never ending story of spring time and yard work. It appears that all seven of his new apple tree seedlings and the four peach trees have little green leaves... that makes him really happy!

Rachel is planning a garden and it has been plowed up and topsoil worked into the dirt. Now she is ready to plant some seeds and young plants.

Mamaw says: I keep telling you all that Papaw and I live exciting lives. On Saturday we woke up to a rainy, gloomy day and decided to rush off to Walmart while it was still early. We jumped into the car (well, I didn't jump) and headed down 40th. West. There was this big fat animal walking by the curb. Papaw didn't see it until we were past and said it must be a raccoon and I said it was a beaver. We turned around and came back for a closer look and saw that it was a beaver with a big flat tail and all. We don't know whether it washed down the canal or just how it got on our street... that is a mystery yet to be solved & we don't know what happened to him.

We did our shopping, came home, started washing sheets and opened the package from Walmart to find that I had bought a sheet instead of a bed skirt, so it was back to Walmart for an exchange. When we got home I made lunch and took a short nap, then made a couple of rhubarb pies. The rhubarb plant is getting really big.
I cleaned out the linen closet and then Roy Hall came by to leave us a DVD of THE GREEN MILE that he had checked out of the library and thought Papaw would enjoy watching. We had such an exciting day that I was plum tuckered out and ready for bed. We love all of you!!!
Love,
