CLEANING UP THE MESS
Papaw spent the day irrigating and cleaning up some mess before our visitors come in June. First on his list was the cellar where he moved out two tables and loaded some items on shelves. Next came the ante room to the garage where there were hundreds of records and a bed to be moved so that the freezer could occupy that space. After moving the freezer it was time to replace a blind in Mamaw's bedroom.

Mamaw said: I got up early, did the usual things this morning and then went to Sister Drake's for a hair do, made lunch and lemon brownies, took a lot of food out of the freezer and cleaned ice from around the sides, moved the freezer to the little room back of the garage and then put the food back in. Roy Hall stopped by a couple of times today (he brought back Daniela's trenching shovel and borrowed a transfer shovel in exchange). We had dinner and Papaw went to HD to buy some blinds for my bedroom window... the first blinds he got were a foot too short and his second was an inch or so too long (his third trip was a success and he got a $5.76 rebate by taking a more expensive blind that could be cut which had a cosmetic defect).
I washed dishes and now I am being a nosey neighbor. The police are across the street at Pat's trailer and they have some in handcuffs. We will let you know the details later (Pat works at Walmart and we visit her there). We live an exciting life to be old people. We are doing this blog for our FHE. We love all of you!!!

P.S. Papaw drove to HD for blinds and walked home (forgot that he drove over there)... just as well, the blinds he got didn't fit and he had to go back anyway. See, I told you we live an exciting life. We have lots of senior moments (or stupor of thought experiences).
