ONE STEP AT A TIME
Papaw turned his irrigation water on at 6:00 AM and was finished by 8:00 AM... a record time for watering the field and back yard. That left him plenty of time to run by Home Depot for materials and attempt to fix her drooping step. He started trenching along the sidewalk and discovered the step was not anchored and that changed his plan. The new plan that presented itself was to raise the sidewalk and reposition the step on top of it. It took some help from Donna, the hand truck and a couple of steel pipes to get the step out of the way. Seven bags of concrete later the sidewalk was resurfaced and is now "hanging out to dry."

Mamaw - My activities of the day: got up early, studied, made breakfast, washed dishes, made my bed, did laundry, talked to Buford (they are all well), made an apple tart, soaked some pinto beans, took a short nap, cooked the beans, cornbread & some kale, got some beautiful school pictures from Elizabeth and Tyler (now I can be a bragging grandma), talked to Danni (she delivered a baby all on her own today... the doctor was right behind her, but the baby just came too fast. Proud of you Danni! Good job!), when Papaw got home we had dinner, washed the dishes and now I am watching TV. It will soon be time for FHE. We love all of you!
Love,
Mamaw & Papaw
