The war is raging in Iraq... and people all over the world are demonstrating against the war... it is scary... but if it frees the people there and takes out an evil(really evil) man, I guess it is worth it.

Today was a beautiful spring day. Don worked in the yard and on one of his barn doors. Sheila Phillips, our next door neighbor, came over. She has leukemia - it was in remission but is now back. I hugged her & she cried... she is afraid that she might not make it this time. She said she wasn't a very religious person. I tried to tell her a little about the other side and about "God" without pushing her. I tried to let her know that this isn't the end... that we continue on the other side. Her husband has kidney problems and is on dialysis, so they worry about each other. I told her that we would help in whatever way they might need help. I feel so sorry for them. We are blessed... I thank Our Heavenly Father for all we have... and our faith (The Restored Gospel). I think it would help her if she had more faith (if she knew and believed the scriptures). I think it would help her if she had more faith. I will just try to be a good neighbor and friend.

I talked with Danni today. They are well. Hopefully they will be home soon. Her Mother-in-law is down there now. I went with Sister Bowen to the stake center to decorate 3 tables for a luncheon tomorrow after our Stake Women's Conference... folks from other wards were there... doing tables for their folks too. John called tonight, he said his proposal on health care benefits had gone all the way up the ladder in his company and no one had changed any of it (everyone seems to like it!}. Elizabeth talked to me too. She just kept jabbering and jabbering... I could understand a word here and there, but she is learning fast.

Yesterday I did the ironing and put peaches and grapes in the freezer.  Today I spent most of the day sewing some curtains for D...
