RAINMAKER
Papaw thought it was time to go back to ERDA and see if he could do anything to make the Staker sprinklers work. Looks like the common wire to one of the control boxes was broken (the correct term would be OPEN... as in an open circuit). A quick fix was made by splicing the common wires on that box into the second box which was about 10 inches away (he was able to route the wire beside the irrigation tubing and didn't need to do too much digging to bury the wire). Nine of the ten sprinkler controls came on when the new box was installed and that was good enough for today.
Mamaw says: What I did today was... got up early, studied, read, made breakfast, washed dishes, made my bed, cleaned out some drawers, separated some pictures and put them in boxes, went to the garden and pulled some weeds, had lunch, talked to Danni, had a nap, went through some books on the shelves and rearranged them, did a little reading, made dinner for Papaw, picked cucumbers and gathered some zenia seeds to plant next year. Now I am watching TV while reading and will soon be ready for bed. We love all of you!
